Each Lifespan event is a cornerstone for community building and learning. From the 8-week program to the small groups in Continuing Connections, these virtual events promote positive intergenerational engagements and enhance overall well-being.
Programs Designed to Build Meaningful Connections
Our Intergenerational programs offer numerous benefits, including improved mental health, a greater sense of belonging, and opportunities for meaningful connections.

Lifespan Intergenerational (IG)
An 8-week interactive program for sharing wisdom, gaining fresh perspectives, and engaging in lively discussions.
Program Details:
- 8-week sessions consisting of 3-4 students and 6-8 older adults.
- Offered 4 times a year
- Program Director facilitates introductions and provides separate sample questions/conversation starters for both students and older adults.
- Lifespan provides Zoom accounts for all meetings.

Lifespan Continuing Connection
Once you complete the 8-week Intergenerational program, you are welcome to join our continuing Connection Community.
We host:
- Tuesday Topics - An informal get together, Tuesdays at 10:30 am Eastern Time (ET)
- Friday Forums - Dig deeper with informational sessions and guest speakers, Fridays at 1 pm Eastern Time (ET)
- Monthly Book Club - The last Monday of every month at 12:00 pm Eastern Time (ET)

Why Intergenerational Connections Matter
Lifespan Resources is an Atlanta-based nonprofit founded in 1981 with a mission of creating communities where older adults can prosper, both socially and cognitively. Lifespan’s current program, Lifespan IG (Intergenerational) expands upon this mission by pairing college students with older adults aging in place at home – to Connect, Laugh and Learn together in virtual intergenerational communities!
