Tapestry of Kings

Follow Paul Richter as he takes us on journey of tapestries
Session Three – October 1st

Session Two – September 25th

Session One – September 18th

Paul started us out with some introductory materials and we all learned a lot about this amazing art form.  While we did not get a recording of the entire session (that has been fixed going forward), we are able to provide the videos that Paul shared with us during the session.  You will be amazed at what you learn.

We began with your wikipedia introduction and learned a bit about these amazing tapestries and also some new language.

Here is the link to the page with the detail and below is an example of one of the amazing tapestries we discussed.  You can learn all about “warp” and “weft.”

Then we had the experience of actually watching people create these works of art. It is an amazing video and worth every single second of your time.

Then we got a brief introduction to the amazing Bayeux Tapestry. That video is next.

And finally, as that just wasn’t enough, we got to watch the longer version – and lots of fun version – about this amazing piece of art.

And the best part is that we have at least 3 more weeks to learn even more!! Join us every Friday morning.
